Since 1991, Matthews Community Farmers’ Market has provided the goods of a typical farmers market but within an inclusive, family-friendly environment. Located in downtown Matthews, this is one of the largest, most diverse producers-only farmers markets in the greater Charlotte area. The Davidson Farmers Market is changing the way farmers markets impact the community, one blueberry at a time. Their priority emphasizes the economic benefits of shopping locally as well as imparting the nutritional advantages of all their products. The Market offers fresh produce, meats, seafood, homemade breads, goat milk cheese, fresh roasted coffee beans, and natural cleaning products. There is also an eclectic group of artisans offering jewelry, pottery, wooden birdhouses and feeders, and other artisan crafts.
